Anyone use the Steel Force Carp Point?
« on: March 03, 2014, 04:48:00 PM »
I do most of my bowfishing from the bank.  My shots are a little further than average and I'm looking for the point that is going to give me the best penetration.
Has anyone used the Steel Force Carp Point?  Did you have any planing issues in the water?  How durable is the head?
Any other heads I should be considering?

Never question a man's choice in bows or the quality of an animal he kills.  He is the only one who has to be satisfied with either of those choices.

After seeing this in Cabela's, I'll admit the design grabbed and sucked me into buying it. The idea of a cutting point versus a hole punching point got me interested. After I got it home and looked at it, there didn't seem to be a lot of holding power, figure the point could slip out almost as easy as it went in. Am thinking of getting the point welded on a head that has spring barbs.
About another month and it'll be time to start huntin  em here!

I guess if we run into the bear that is making these tracks, we oughta just get off the trail.......He seems to like it!
