It's around 1/2" above my thumb nail       :D

Seriously, I think mine is around 7 1/8".  As with any make of bow, it will vary from one bow to another.  Start around 6 1/2", and shoot a few arrows, unstring the bow and twist the string tighter, restring the bow, and shoot a few more arrows.  Keep repeating the process, the vibration will get less each time until you reach the sweet spot.  You will not know where the sweet spot is until after you pass it and start feeling more vibration each time you twist up the string.  Next untwist the string until you are back to where it feels the smoothest.  It takes some time but I go through the process for every bow I own or build.
The broadhead used, regardless of how sharp, is nowhere as important as being able to place it in the correct spot.

I never knew the silvertip longbow was available as a two piece.  New to you, how old is the bow?

The two piece is no longer being made.

A little history: A friend, my brother Bob, and myself got together one evening at a Montana Bowhunters convention 13 or 14 years ago and convinced Dave to put a Robertson Connection on his one piece longbows and cut them in half.  With three pending orders, he decided to give it a try.  Cookie got the first two piece, Brother Bob received the second (even though I was the first to place an order), and I have the third.  Dave says the three piece is a lot more popular and easier to make, so he doesn't make them any longer.  Mine is not for sale, neither is Brother Bob's, don't know about Cookies.  I have only seen a few appear on the classifieds in the last ten years.

Dave recommends 6 3/4"-7" for the 1pc LB. the 2pc should be the same.
 Mine's good at 7"

Just checked mine and edited the post above to reflect my bows brace height; it is 7 1/8.

Just picked her up at the post office.  Wow!  She is a beauty!  Photos to come.

The string that came with it appears to have come over with Columbus.  Can anyone get me a string length?

I've sent an email to Beth, but figured I would post the question here also.

Thanks
Ken Adkins

Okay.  I know some of the members were wanting to see more photos of it.  Here they are.

Won't get to shoot until this evening, but, if its anything like a Silvertip Recurve I'll love it.

Looks to be cocobolo diamond wood and maybe the strip is osage that has "honey'd" up quite a bit.

Took the string off my 66" HH Big 5.  That'll work for right now.
