Huge Thanks to St. Joe River Bows!
« on: March 11, 2014, 07:40:00 PM »
At this year's Kalamazoo Expo I received my first custom St. Joe River longbow.  I say my first custom from SJR, but it is the 4th in our family.  Both of my kids and my wife have treasured SJR longbows that were custom made by Tracey and David.

After I received the bow at the Expo, I had Tracey tweak the grip just a touch and I just got it back yesterday.  This longbow flat out shoots, and looks great doing it!  Very forgiving bow, with great cast.

All cherry wood, with touches of black phenolic for accent and strength.  Working wood cherry lams under clear glass.  60" 52@28.  I apologize for my poor photos, I couldn't get outside in time for good light.

Like I said, this is our fourth (my first) custom from Tracey and David.  There is a reason we keep coming back to them.  Not only are they skilled and talented bowyers, but they make you feel like family.

Included below are photos both of my new bow and also the whole "family".

Very nice!  Those must be wonderful days that you and the family all shoot together.

Take care, Chase

Great bows even greater people!
For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people’s sins against them. And he gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation.
