Shipping and handling charges
« on: March 12, 2014, 02:02:00 PM »
Seems I remember seeing a post recently on this subject, but I searched and couldn't find it.

I've been looking at the new Woodsman "Blood groove" broadhead. I like the idea of a solid, rather than vented head, but wanted a 125 gr head so I wouldn't have to take the insert weight out of my target arrows to keep the same weight up front.

Finally decided to pull the trigger and when it came time to check out on a set of 3 broadheads and a spool of serving thread (really heavy, bulky items!)I found a handling and shipping charge of $13. And that's just standard USPS shipping.

No thanks guys. I ordered different broadheads from a different source.

Seems like inflated shipping charges are common everywhere nowadays.  I would like to see more shipments go out in padded envelopes when capable to cut down on shipping costs.  Part of UPS rate is the size of the physical box, so if you cut that down to an envelope the cost would be less than half.

Certain distributors charge based on price.  I much prefer weight based shipping.

Check out the Nocking Point, I've usually ordered my items there, a great selection, and charges based on actual shipping.

I'm sure the new owners are carryingi on the same tradition.

Great Sponsor here.
