I can't believe it
« on: September 18, 2007, 10:13:00 PM »
I've shot compounds for 19 years and only ever made 1 Robin Hood. I'm a good shot with it, broke 500 nocks I bet. This spring I bought a longbow, and with that my shooting has gone from one end of the scale to the other and back again.
Well tonight, a new friend, a guy I met off this site, Bill (Got2strum), came over to the house to shoot with me. We warmed up for a bit, then without warning I started shooting good, really good.I figured the first one was just luck

But about 5 minutes later, I did it again!!!

Costly yet priceless!!
This is a good confidence builder for me, deer season is only a week and one half away!

A good longbow---------$650.00
A dozen arrows---------$80.00
A foam target----------$50.00

A double!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!priceless. Tell Bill I said howdy, and you might want to pass him around to a few buds, he might be good luck! Great shooting.

now that there is some mighty fine shoot'n. i have only had one in 29 years of bowhunting and that came 2 years ago with a traditional bow. 20 years of compounds and it takes a traditional bow to get my first robinhood. there is def. some MOJO happening with trad gear.
