Making a great string
« on: March 23, 2014, 02:51:00 PM »
I just ordered this DVD from LBR, I have made strings out of B-50 for my selfbows, but have always bought my FF strings for all my laminate bows, now i want to make my own, and better ones than i think i was making out of B-50. All my bows are 45-55#, I ordered a couple spools of BCY-X, didnt order seving material, because didnt know which one or size, seems halo or 62xs, but not sure on size.I shoot mainly carbons these days, Goldtips and easton Axis, but for the price, i dont think i will shoot the Axis anymore, too many good shafts for half the price.Does 18 strands and maybe a .021 62xs center serving? I sent Chad an e-mail, maybe he will give me some advice. Dave

Knowing Chad I am sure he will help you out.  He has made a few strings for me over the years..
