Friend's Bow Gets A New "Dress"
« on: March 23, 2014, 06:04:00 PM »
Friend Tim's birthday present arrived Friday. My original order had got "stuck" half in and half out of Onestringer's web site. So when I called them they said they would ship priority without charging me extra shipping. They are always extra helpful there, and are a Sponsor here. They sell shaft wraps (for arrows) and Limbsations (for bow limb covers). Tim got over today for some shooting and when he saw his gift was new Diamondback Rattler Limbsations for his bow He was some pleased. He asked could we put them on right away - so we did. He loved the look and when i asked if he wanted to go shoot to see if they "made it shoot any better" he was raring to go, and wanted to know if we could get a picture of it with the new covers. So y'all get to share - LOL

Here "They" are for a kneeling shot:

Here a closer crop to see the Limbsations better:

Those look great!  How are they applied?  Can they be removed without residue?  Sorry if I seem a moron, but I've never heard of them before...going to google them right now.

I'm happy to say, they really do look good. I've put them on four or five bows, and removed them from two or three. They go on so simply (about 5-15 minutes), and come off the same way (about 1-2 minutes), with never a spec of residue (like you get with camo tapes, etc.) Yet I've never had one start to peel, etc. on it's own - go figure. I personally can not say enough good about Onestringer's products (both Limsations and shaft wraps), and their service. over the years. On top of that they are a sponsor here on Trad gang and always have some neat support of the Annual St. Jude Auctions held here. For those not familiar with me, I never "tout" a product i don't have personal experience with, and complete confidence in. It is always my own opinion and never solicited. That's just me - LOL. You'll find Scott and Mindy (and their help) the nicest people to deal with you could ask for, or I'd be the most surprised person in the world.

Thanks so much!  Now to settle on a pattern.  I don't want to damage the finish on my bow this year and I think I've got the solution now  :)

I hunted (primitive) for 5 years with a beautiful, snakey Osage self bow that Friend Dano made for me. It was too beautiful to mess up but I was leery of that yellow bow shining in the woods, after the first year. So, I put a set of Canebrake Rattler Limsations on it for the next four years, to camo it a little. It looked great, everyone first thought it was real snakeskin, and when I pulled them off after the four years, it was/is just as beautiful as when Dano made it (with no clean-up needed. It's amazing.

I'm still around, Bud B. just don't post as much these days - LOL.

One stinger products are as great as there service...

Nice option to completely skinning a bow. Plus you can remove them easily

    :clapper:      :clapper:

This is making my new bow order easier to go with colored glass the one stringer skin it...

Thank you all. Tim loves this bow, which was given to me by our member and friend,Grinch (but was a tad heavy for me). It fits him to a T (though he could shoot even a little heavier bow) and he loves it even more with it's new Diamondback Rattler "dress". His progress with the bow since last fall has been really impressive. He would rather shoot than eat, and he's a "professional" eater LOL.
