2014 Turkey Setup and Two Little Helpers
« on: March 24, 2014, 09:45:00 PM »
My new Waldrop Pacseat arrived today. I got out my ghillie and tried it out. Sits fantastic. Looking forward to taking it afield.

It didn't take long for me calling like a turkey and looking like a bush to intrigue a couple of "future trad girls".

They helped dad get ready for turkey season before bed. My oldest even dropped a little 3 year old wisdom on me. "Dad you better get that thing out of your mouth, referring to the call, before you choke on it" Hey when your right your right.   :bigsmyl:

Great Picture!! I usually turkey hunt from a blind, and I have some bad knees. It is important that I have a tall enough seat to sit comfortably. Is the Waldrop seat adjustable for height/big guys with bad knees? Thanks--and enjoys your "gifts!"

Bluemoon I just got my seat but I believe there are several adjustments that can be made. I have a friend who is a bigger guy and has one and seems to fit him fine.

Looks great!  I got a new slate the other day it's Osage by the way and beautiful! Anyway my 3&5 yr olds just had to try it out!  They did pretty good actually.   We need to teach them to call so as to free ourselves up to arrow the bird! ;-)

Matt, Funny you said that about the kids calling. I let my oldest play with an old box call. I'm all about being free handed to shoot!

Yes I will be wearing boots. Socks are quite but I'm afraid they may be a little damp for spring turkeys.
