That is a beauty and does deserve another chance to get in the woods. Love the old Howatts - great job!

David, That bow came out incredible.
Hope your wife didn't catch you with the skins in the tub again.

Great job on the refinish and skins. I'm an old Howatt fan myself. Some of the best looking and shooting bows of days gone by. Funny thing is, they also shoot with just about anything out there today.

That is one sweet early sixties Hi-Speed! I've been looking for a 54" lefty. Those old Howatts are still my all time favorites.

They are sweet. Too short for me unfortunately.
John, I use varathane on skinned bows, advice given to me from a very well known bowyer to us all for applying over snakeskin.
Charlie, she won't catch me. I will never do that again!

I'd love to run into an older High Speed even though I shoot mostlylongbow. Had a Damon Howatt Hunter for years.

Very good job David, Love what you did to the bow, I have now a High Speed and a Hunter. The Hunter needs to be refinished yet. Thankds for the ideas.
