looking for a good Wisconsin bear outfitter
« on: April 05, 2014, 04:48:00 PM »
Anyone know of a good bear guide/outfitter for Wisconsin. Their is three stickbow shooters with 9 pts and looking to burn them for the 2015 season. Went to the Wisconsin deer and Turkey expo yesterday and there were only three there. Were looking for an outfitter that doesn't take a lot of hunters. A trade shooter would even be better.

Call Kevin Winkler, secretary of WI Trad Archers.
He knows one.

He's a good friend of mine and has harvested a bear this year, or last year, I think.

A buddy of mine has a bunch on his property near laona, one he claims is pushing 700lbs.  Owns the land but has not been able to draw a tag...go figure. And he is a lifelong trad shooter.

Mike have you hunted with them before. I have been on their web site and I'm interested in the river camps.  Think they might be more personal like stickflingers

Yes they are very personal, and my brother Mark has been up there and knows them well. PM me and I will get you my brother's number.
