Can a Northern Mist be shot with a vertical bow position?
« on: April 07, 2014, 05:41:00 PM »
I recently received a Northern Mist Shelton. I noticed the shelf is very narrow and appears incapable of holding an arrow on the shelf when the bow is in the vertical position. Is it possible to shoot this bow in the vertical position or is it only designed to be shot in a canted position?

Any bow can be shot vertical or canted....or even reverse canted....its all in how you position your fingers on the string before you draw the bow....

Check this thread out from 2006

Info on how to grip the string before you draw is on page 3.

Dennis, you certainly can.  No trouble shooting mine that way even though I prefer to use a bit of cant.

Thanks, Terry. Dumb question, I know, but it really seemed difficult to do so. Thanks for the link, T!
