Hi all I am thinking about going to some 3D shoots this year . All my carbon arrows (GT ) are footed with aluminum arrow shafts or the collers that 3Rivers sells . Well this make it difficult to get the arrows out of the targets ? Thank You Rick

Depends--shouldn't be too hard though. A little bar of soap can do wonders for how easy it is to pull. Just a few swipes on the end, 3" or so, every few targets.

Only tip I have for any arrow removal is to use a twisting motion while pulling.

If you beveled the rear of the footings, you should be ok. If not, they may take a little more force to remove. Lube is always a good idea.

A little harder, maybe. Too hard? No.

Try some Reel Magic, just spray it on.
Check out the Rockwood stump shoot coming up April 19th, lots of fun and you'll meet a lot of people from the upstate NY area, you'll find it under the Trad Events & Gatherings.

Richard,
Go the 3D shoots, If I am there, I will pull your arrows, mine are the same way but I will be following some advice from above on my next arrows.
Its always nice to have a young guy around for the pullin
