Cheyenne / Axis question??
«

Hey guys, I just struck a deal for a Cheyenee with a fellow tradganger and should be receiving it next week. The specs are 55# @ my 27" draw, with foam core limbs on an A handle.
I have yet to try any of these small diameter axis arrows but was thinking about going ahead and ordering six of the traditionals to try with this set up.
I would like to use the 75gr inserts with 200gr points on top of that. I will also mostlikely foot these arrows with 1-1/2" of aluminum shafting.
Would any of you spiniacs mind helping me pick out a size that would be best to start out with in my quest for the perfect arrow flight?
I will mostly likely cut these either 28" or 29"
Thanks for the help guys!

Close to the same specs as mine, I'm shooting 225grains up front and tried carbon express heritage 250's but found them to weak, then tried some 350's and that dialed it right in

Thanks buddy,
I have been shooting hertitage 250's out of another TD a few pounds less than this one well.
I didnt know if that meant I should try the 340's in axis first??
Anyone else?
I would appreciate any advice I could get!
Thanks.

I think, not sure but I think the foam core limbs like a stiffer spine arrow, but yeah try them both and see what your results are, I'm betting you will need more than the 250's with 275 grains leading the way

I think the Axis .400s will work fine with your set up. That's what I shoot our of my 56#@28 ACS with about 250-275 out front. I do build out my side plate a little for very skinny arrows though.

What length are your arrows?

29 inches BOP. I cut my arrows the length I want them and then play with point weight and side plate to tune. I want no more than an inch of arrow plus point sticking out beyond the back of my bow.
