Might put this on the collectors forum, more likely to get some answers.
The essence of the hunt for me is to enter nature and observe+ return safely occasionally with the gift of a life taken.

Are you buying or selling?  Collecting or shooting or both?

I have a cavalier that I bought in a package deal with another Howatt and a Pearson cougar.  Paid just south of $30 for all three.

wish I could find more deals like that but its probably too much to hope for.  As a shooter, I love it.  In the design department I think it needed a bit more taper in the lam stack or would have benefited from a power lam.  Mine shows signs of stress in the first couple inches of the face lams.

as far as collector value I'm clue less but do find old Howats too stylish to resist.
