Axis shaft inserts
«

I am thinking of trying some 400 spine axis or fmj shafts and was wondering if anyone makes a regular style insert for these? I am not a fan of the HIT inserts. Thanks. Bob

I could be wrong but I thought the HIT insert was needed on Axis due small diameter and others will not work? Call 3 Rivers Archery or send a message to Easton directly and they will give you correct answer.
I shoot GT Trads and Axis and like them a lot.

No "regular style" inserts to my knowledge, just the HIT inserts are compatible.
The inside dia of the MFX, axis, fmj's can not allow an insert to pass alongside the shank of the point i.e. the insert and the shank are the same diameter thereby making a "conventional insert" impossible. Make sense?
BTW - the brass HIT inserts are quite nice actually, they work very well!
Hope this helps -
Kris

Get the broadhead adapter rings and use them with your field points too. They work just fine.

They make a regular style insert for Axis but it requires the use of Deep Six points which have a 6/40 threads.Easton just came out with 125 gr. field points for Deep Six,before all they had was 100 gr. points or broadheads. You can have a regular style insert for Axis but it limits you on points and broadheads.Just look for Deep Six inserts for Axis.

You could also use Gold Tip Kinetic accu-tough inserts if you would like to use the standard points with 8/32 threads.Gold Tip Kinetic and Axis shafts have the same ID of .204.

Carbon express makes a insert that fits them. For the preadtor .800 spine arrow. They weight 27 grains I think

I have never used them but I believe Firenock makes an outsert for them that gets good reviews.

You can always "Foot" them with Easton legacy 1916's and use the insert that comes with those. The legacy insert would then "Butt" up against the end of the Axis shaft. Makes for a strong arrow and easy to add any weight to the point end if you want. I use JB Weld for both the footing and the insert. Lloyd
