Your selfbows always look great ddauler. Your pictures on the last selfbow thread got me into more of the white woods. What are your dimensions on the black locust. I am working on a couple of locust staves as we speak. I find it to be an odd wood to work so far.

Probably 1 7/8 fades to mid limb then straight taper to 5/8 68" NTN left it a little long and wide I have had trouble with frets on narrow locust bow I have a couple meare heath style that turned out good jury still out on this one. After 500+ shots it still stands dead straight and no compression issues.

I had read about the fretting. I was going overbuilt with one stave and a 1.5 wide D bow with the other. Yours looks great to me no string follow so I can reduce the 2in wide overbuilt if I need to that is great. Thanks.

Prob I built a couple d bows years ago and had fret issues with 2 of 3 they were around 60" and 1 1/8 wide.

Man! Great work. I have a hard enough time building glass bows the way I want them. You self bow guys amaze me.
Plant a fruit or nut tree today, and have good hunting tomorrow.
