Glendive MT??
« on: May 07, 2014, 05:29:00 PM »
Any Tradgangers over that way?

I've lived in the Flathead since I was a young'un.  I'm potentially looking at making a career change, and changing my scenery.  That's what I get for palling around with Dick  :)

It's one part of the state I've never been too.  I've never hunted or fished there.

I should be over there the weekend of the 16th of this month.  Anybody need help drinking beer and shooting trad bows, PM or post.  I'd love to know more about the area, and obviously bowhunting.

Has oil money in the area (Bakken area) affected housing prices around there much?

I'd probably have to move my singlewide there (divorces are a bummer,) and I don't feel like renting dirt for a grand a month.  Which is why Forsyth and Sidney are out of the running.

I'm also curios how the bowhunting is around the Badlands?  Access easy to get?  Is bowhunting allowed in the Makoshika?  I'm also curious about hunting around the Terry Badlands...

Boys, Dan's as good as they come.  Help him find a good spot so I can crash on his floor again!  Lol.  :)

I'm no help, I'm on the other side of the state, but good luck!

Laffin...

Brad, there's a distinct lack of wolves in that part of Montucky.  There's still too much snow for Bears to be worth the gas money when I'm not working.  Hopefully, changing jobs won't screw up 2017.

Frank, I haven't hunted SW Montana since I was in high school.  You guys got more Elk but less everything else.  It's a trade off for sure  :)

Dan, housing in Glendive has gone through the roof(if you can find something). Has affected prices here in Miles City also.

Yeah, I made some phone calls.  It was more than a little discouraging.

Now I'm hoping I luck into the Havre hiring even more...
