First fish of the year
«

I went out bow fishing for the first time this year. It was past 10 pm by the time I got down to the outlet. The water was high and muddy which made for a bad night of fishing. Just as I was about to leave I saw a shape swimming up the current. By the time I was ready to shoot it spooked from the light and took off. I drew back and let er loose as the fish quickly swam past me. A smile crossed my face as I watched my arrow plow into the fish as it took off up the current. After I short fight I had my hands on my first fish of the year. It was a beautiful 23" silver sucker, my biggest sucker to date. Call me crazy but I think the silver sucker is a beautiful fish. One of these days Im going to have to get one mounted if its big enough. Id say this is a good start to the season. Cheers SS

Nice! I agree with you...they are pretty fish. My wife is thinking about mounting one she killed yesterday.

What a fun time it is to fling the sticks at the fish!

Outstanding brother.
I had a clean up day last Monday and hammered them. Yesterday was skunked. Good job

Congrats on your fish. They are good smoked, or you can grind them up and make fish patties much like crab cakes. Great stuff.

very nice!
If you want a cool way to mount a light for bowfishing look at the one i have in this video. It will let you shoot with a light on your bow or also look at the headlamp set up in the video. Best fishing light set up out there.
