I've had a few fussy bows, that didn't last long. I have a draw over 30", and I personally think it's a lot harder to tune arrows with a longer draw. Possibly because the arrow is on the string longer, and/or the agle of the string is sharper. Either way, since I've started shooting longer bows(66"-68"), I e found it a lot easier to get a good bare shaft.
I also think my realease was getting in the way too. I shoot 3 under, and I was pulling a lot with my ring finger(kind of equally with all 3). Once I started using my top two fingers for the majority of the pull, I noticed a much smoother, and quieter realease.
So maybe the bows weren't as fussy as I thought, but I'm glad I came to the conclusion I did, and found the long bows.
