Silent Predator Wool ?
« on: May 18, 2014, 08:38:00 PM »
I am wanting to buy some new wool and was looking at the Silent Predator wool. I was wondering who has some experience with it, I know not all wool is created equal and wanted some input on thickness and durability. I am also confused on the cargo pockets on the pants, some pictures show pockets on the side, some pictures show them on the front, I would prefer cargo pockets on side. Thanks for any input fellas.

I bought a Silent Pred vest last year and really like it.  I don't know how it compares to other brands like KOM, but it is very well made.  I bought mine from Bernie Parsons (contact info is on the SP website).  Bernie was great to deal with... he even paid for the shipping and told me if I wasn't pleased to just send it back.

I have a SP vest as well that I bought from
Bernie . I also own KOM stuff too 6 different items and I will from now on only buy SP, it is the same quality wool as KOM but with a better price. I only buy my stuff from Bernie been doing so for the last 18 years he is a great guy to deal with.

Predator is the same as KOM wool. Great stuff.  Bernie is a great person to deal with.  I consider him a great friend.  I was hunting with him this year when I shot my PA 8 Point.  Its a lot cheaper than KOM.  And u can order semi custom too.  My pants were too big for me.  I sent them to the factory and got them back perfect.

I think you mind is made up but I bought a solid gray (now discontinued model) pair of bibs of the silent predator variety from Bernie last fall and I found them warmer then the kom bibs I had. For cold weather wool silent predator will now get my vote.
