Todays report from our alternate area: Seven doe, 5 turkeys spotted. Almost got run over by a group of 6 deer. I have it on video but can't figure out how to post one. Our prospects are delightful.

Squirrels may give us trouble. The mountain is crawling with them but a Hex head or two will silence them at least temporarily.   :goldtooth:

We wound up doing more dripping that dragging. It rained hard and the wind blew harder. We saw a deer as soon as we arrived in the landowners side yard. I thought that was an omen of good luck but the rain picked up by the minute after we got out of the truck.

We sat through the rain and I walked through a bedding area hoping to send one Mannys way but to no avail.

We ate extremely well and drank some fine New York craft beer and laughed and talked until too late into the night. Manny got along just fine with my 90 something pound dog Jackson and had to share his bunk with him weather or not he wanted to (Sorry Manny I Had No Idea).  l

Hopefully this is the 1st of many hunts and you are always welcome to hunt with me.

Thanks forth bid and it was my pleasure to share my home and a hunt with you.

Back to work this morning and the deer sure are moving, next time we'll do better with planning.

Sounds like great Camaraderie. I know the weather wasn't great for bow hunting but sounds like you made the best of it.

It was a great hunt, and an even better time with a brother from South of the border!

Can't wait to do it again!

Thank you Izzy
