New Fedora Xtreme
« on: June 16, 2014, 07:30:00 PM »
After a long wait, I received my new Fedora Xtreme longbow. It is 64", 52#@29". It came in gray Actionwood with extra laminations and their "special core".
My initial impressions are favorable. It looks well built and the finish is a basic satin. The nocking point and silencers came already set up. Once I put my hand on the grip, my hand immediately became one with the bow.
The draw on this bow is incredibly smooth. I found myself drawing to anchor almost without realizing it. Once I released, the arrow launched straight to the target with perfect flight.    This was my first group, shot from 18 yards.

I've shot many bows over the years, and I can safely say that this is the first bow I truly felt was custom built for me. If you are looking for a fast, forgiving and quiet bow, you should seriously consider a Fedora.

That's a keeper bow for sure. My Xtreme won't be parting from me anytime soon. Very well behaved and quick bow.

How long did you wait? I'm going on 14 months for a set of limbs. I called once and they were having some problems with help.

It took almost 14 months. Mike had told me he lost his son. I don't know if that means he left the business or something else. But he is still passionate about what he does. Your limbs are probably going to be ready soon.
