I thought mine was far uglier.  I think it's bias against plastic.

Here is a bow that one of my best friends called an "ugly bow", as well as the guy i built it for....

So i thought i better post it....

I'm more attracted to lines than embellishment. Like a Loveless knife with micarta handles. Nothing fancy but beautiful by design. Let's not confuse plain with ugly.

My bow is made from an old hickory wheel barrow handle, the lams and riser both, I sanded it smooth to 80 grit and then painted it with black truck bed liner from dupli color and then painted some break-up stripes with gray primer. It's even uglier up close.  60" long, 49# @ 28".

My plain green Baraga has been called "ugly", but I love it. No pretty woods for me!!
