I hope I am posting this to the correct forum. I had to express my appreciation for KME's great customer service! Ron spent over a half hour of his time providing guidance to a guy who was previously sharpening impaired (me). After following his advice my single bevel heads are just what he said they would be---SCARY sharp. I used his broadhead sharpener and after talking with him, although he was insistent that I should hold off on buying anything else I ordered one of his excellent course aluminum oxide stones. This stone is a great addition to my sharpening kit and is THE stone to do 90% of the work. Ron's patience and the time he took with me are greatly appreciated and I give his products and customer service my highest recommendations---I had read about this on this forum several times, but can tell you first hand---great products---great guy!!!

Joe, That is pretty hilarious, just knowing ole Ron!
I never tire of seeing these posts. I was the founder and president of Can't Sharpen ShiX Intl, till Ron got ahold of me...
How many times have we seen this type post? and this many years later, he's till tutoring the unwashed and those of us who can't sharpen "stuff".
I'm thinking he's wayyy too honest to run for any political office, but if he won, he'd likely reverse any anti-smoking legislation! :D

I just got this email from Ron.
"My browser won't or can't connect to TG for some reason. If you wouldn't mind posting that bit of info for me and also tell them I'll be at Compton's but no booth, just walking around in a black KME shirt. I'm bringing a knife kit and my BHD demo kit and will be teaching sharpening some place up there. Thanks!"

Not again...! Several months ago he had that browser issue when I last talked to him. Glad he's getting to Compton.
If you do NOT like your KME, you're doing it wrong!
I've met a bunch of people with HARD heads (of the BH variety) who couldn't do squat w/ their KME... I shared what Ron taught me and then WALLA...they got super sharp heads!
If you can't get results...wait till Ron's home and call him!! You won't find Cust Serv like that in a good while most places...!

Hey I have a question. Does the broadhead sharpener work on curved edge blades or would a knife sharpener work better?

Yeah Jim that's what I mean. I want to buy a sharpener. I can get knives plenty sharp with just diamond steels and I have a spyderco sharpener for when I really want to polish an edge but I don't like how fast the ceramic stones load up. If a the KME knife sharpener will work on broadheads too I figure I might as well go that route.

Definitely a first class guy with a first class operation had one question for the man about his product but he wasn't happy till I was shaving hair off my arm as he worked me through sharpening heads as I was on the phone with him!! That's what customer service is all about!!

Both, for me. I work hard to get the older off bevel's to 25* and then use the BH sharpener for BH's.
I LOVE the knife sharpener for knives.
You can do a superb job on BH's on the knife system, but I happened to stumble into both at one time years back and use them individually for their designed purpose!
