Things don't always go as planned
« on: June 27, 2014, 05:49:00 PM »
I headed out to a favorite stretch of trout water that is a little hard to get to. When I got there and topped a hill that overlooks the stream, the fishing trip turned into an impromptu early elk scouting foray. Cows and calves were in abundance, and I enjoyed watching them for about a half hour before doing any fishing. Did I mention that this is in my elk area come September? Click on the image for a short video.

These elk could be in the next county by the season, but it sure was gratifying to see them doing what elk do in elk 'nurseries'.

What is man without the beasts? If all the beasts were gone, men would die from great loneliness of spirit, for whatever happens to the beasts also happens to man. All things are connected. Whatever befalls the earth befalls the children of the earth

If you think God doesn't have a sense of humor, just try making a plan.

Looks like a great day

Did not see a single a turkey the times I went out this spring to try to shoot one.  Saw two broods with their mamas yesterday when I had to go out to pull a wheel off a tractor.....
