Was shooting my Thunderchild and moving some limbs off of my home range yesterday. First I take few shots at a block target, then I pull those and fling an arrow at the deer target down in the woods. I go pull that, then I see a hole in the foliage and the big foam block with a piece of cardboard and 2 blue masking tap spots on is begging me to take shot so I shoot 4 arrows put down the bow and begin moving limbs on my way to pull those arrows. For some reason I go back and get my bow and then when I go to pull the first arrow I see things flying out of the target and instantly feel that burn that only a yellow jacket can deliver. I'm tucking the Thunderchild under my arm and slapping my wrist and elbow and running as fast as this old man can go. Arrows are still in the block with a swarm of angry yellow Jackets around them. So I go pop a benedryl just in case and wait for dark.
I usually don't bother these critters if I know where they are but in my target? They have to go. So I spray where I think the hole is and wait until this morning to go have a look. Well no activity so I go and pull the arrows slowly from the side. Nothing. Then I had to move the cardboard and out they come and I get to do another 100 yard dash except this time one finds me in the yard and I have sprint the rest of the way to the house to plan another night time RAID!
