Yea it likes gold tips 3555 triad arrow, I tried a 1916 but it turned it inside out going down range.. so got gold tips 125 grain point with a 10 grain weight screwed into back of insert.... total arrow weight is 402 grains shoots them like a dart

That seems to be pretty light on the arrows, might think about trying a 2016

I can't believe you got a bow from Mike Palmer in 4 WEEKS!!! Must have been a bow that was already built.

I order a set of ordinary limbs from him and it took over a year to get them and the SOBs stack like a pile of bricks.

Otherwise, I shot mine for years and really liked it( I just overlooked the limb stacking). Probably at your DL everything will be fine.

If you want a set of longer light limbs send me a PM.

It took him a year to fix a cracked limb I had and that was with constantly bugging him about it (he said it would be 3-4 months originally). He did such a poor job with refinishing it that I had it redone by the bow doctor. I do like the way they shoot though. Mine was very smooth

No I ordered my bow June 7th and got it back July 8th custom made to fit my hand. And yes he is making the classic again...these are really smooth bows, there is a guy here where I live that just got his palmer back he has a 29 inch draw he says it is smooth all the way...so I really son, know what the problem is.....really good service if you ask me

His service is well known to be amongst the worst of any bowyer. Glad it worked out for you. I've had about 20 custom bows and his customer service was by far the worst I've ever seen. He's an embarrassment to the term "bowyer" in my opinion.

I had a friend here, 'Down Under', who loved his Palmer bow so much - when it actually arrived.   However, he said the service and the experience of dealing with Mike was so terrible, he sold the bow off and said he would never get another one.  It is a real shame because I used to watch videos of Fred Eichler shooting one and they looked to be a great bow.

I guess that happens from time to time.  I had a bow like that (won't say who because don't want to bad-mouth anybody), and even though the bow was lovely, the ordeal of trying to get it off the guy was so tedious, that I sold it off as soon as it arrived.

I only shoot a Pittsley Predator 'Impact' now.  It is so good I never have to bother about dealing with other bow manufacturers again.
