First Attempt at Bow Painting
« on: July 15, 2014, 04:41:00 PM »
I used a Shakespeare Necedah.

First I cut out stencils;

Then I did an undercoat in camo tan
I used a spray adhesive on the back of the stencils, just a light coat.
Then I applied them to the bow.

Next I sprayed the topcoat of slate black.

This was a precursor to doing a refinish on a Bear Kodiak.

I wasn't going for a camo pattern perse as much as a design. I'm still tossing around in my mind what I want to do to the Kodiak. I have Bear decals on the way for the refinish.

I very much like the amount of camo on the bow. Sometimes less is more. You made an ordinary bow extraordinary.
