Any Navajo owners out there?
« on: July 15, 2014, 10:45:00 PM »
Hey guys I had the opportunity this past weekend to try out a 60" 54# Navajo Diamond recurve. In my first 6 shots with the bow I managed to robin hood one of my new woodies. The bow was smooth and lightning fast! It was definitely on par with a 55# BW PCH I had also shot that day.

Anyone have anything good or bad to saw about the Navajo bows, especially the diamond model? If I can sell off a few extra bows I may have to pick one up. I was impressed to say the least. Thanks for any input, SS.

I used to own one.  Great bow, just not the bow I was looking for at the time.

Roy is a great guy to deal with.

I have a Navajo Chief. I have been hunting with it for about 8 years.  It is my favorite that I have owned.  Even after a couple weeks of not shooting it I can pick it up and hit where I want most of the time. Can't go wrong with them and it helps knowing that Roy is such a nice gent.

My first "custom" bow was an Apache that a bought off of here. It is still my favorite longbow. You don't see many listed and they never seem to get the respect they deserve. The grip is perfect every time and the workmanship is top quality.

I have a 38# Cherokee and it is my best shooting bow. Craftmanship is second to none. If I had the spare cash laying around I'd buy another between 45 -50#
May your friends be as many as the promises you keep.

I've owned a few and liked each one. I would not hesitate to own another if and when that times comes. Roy is a great guy to deal with and a great bowyer.
