Almost sold it
« on: July 20, 2014, 07:41:00 AM »
Since I had some shoulder problems I have not been able to shoot or pull back my Black Widow MA111. I bought a Fox archery recurve in lighter poundage and been shooting that a lot and really got to like it. Well I have had a few widows but ended up with this one in 1987. Not sure who I got the riser from but the limbs came from a buddy that was later killed in a boating accident.
I have taken many game animals, won 3d tournys with and 100`s of hours stump shooting. Almost sold it a few times but could not do it. Well after getting the fox I had a guy lined up that was thinking about buying it. Was just getting ready to take it to him to let him look at it then decided to see if I could shoot it. Well I guess all the shooting I been doing with the fox helped. Took it out back and at 20yds put 3 arrows in the kill ring. Dang it felt good. So I called him and told him its not for sale.
