Built a huge stand
« on: August 02, 2014, 04:56:00 PM »
My brother and I built a massive stand today, the farmer wanted a large stand (he hunts maybe 1-2 times a season) so we have him what he asked for lol

Here are a few bucks on the property also...

The stand is 8'x8'x12' and the trail cam pics are not the right date or times

You could be a billionaire if those date stamps were right on those pictures!

Looks like it will be a comfortable stand.  Nice deer too

Did you say "stand"? Or house on stilts?
You should call the treehouse master guy, I think he may have a job for you!
Very cool

Some walls, a roof and some windows, a small stove and you could stay there for a couple of days.  Well some sort of toilet facility might help.
The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.

Looks innteresting, but what's going to keep it from sounding like a helicopter in high winds?  Also, hereabouts you'd need to shovel it off frequently to keep the weight of ice and snow from collapsing it.  ;-)

My stands are only as wide as my butt.

No room for a hammock and gas grill on mine, though.  He may be on to something.

Hey the farmer lets me my brother and my son's use the land as if was ours at no cost, whatever we want to do whenever we want to do it, just don’t shoot his cows lol so if he wants a big old stand that’s what he gets

I talked him down in size believe it or not, he originally wanted a 10x12x12' apartment, the 8x8 was a compromise lol

Better anchor down that thing well if it's not cemented in the ground.  Don't ask me how I know either!     :biglaugh:

Our Kansas winds are going to be really hard on that plastic, I would swap that out for plywood as soon as you could. Heck of a platform!
