« on: September 25, 2007, 02:43:00 PM »
I dont personaly know of any of the trad gangers that have passed on but I was reading Mudd's post and thought maybe we could start a thread and people can post names of there freinds and loved ones from trad gang that has been lost as a tribute to them . Just a thought .

Barb Dumas immediately comes to my mind.  She aws a one of a kind, special lady.  She is STILL missed.  Everytime I see a pic of some of here leathercraft, I smile and remember.

How about a memorial thread with a pic and maybe a small bio about their hunting, Dorris? Kind of a memory thread of sorts. Maybe some one who knew them could post a pic and a story or some thing along those lines??

I haven't known many of them so it would be nice to learn a little some thing and to see a pic.

Sounds like a good idea to me. Heck of a tribute too.

I don't know if he posted much on Trad Gang specifically, but I always got a real kick out of Dal Lowry.  He'll probably be best remembered on the boards for all the bows he went through, but he was very genuine and helpful to many on a variety of topics.  And just plain fun to read.

thats souns like a great idea but it would be up to the mods and terry to see if it could happen . I think it would be the ultimate tribute to out fellow gangers that arent with us anymore .

I think it would be fitting. It would give some of us that haven't been around as long, a chance to get to know some of those that came before us.

Maybe some one could start it with a pic & a story of one of their hunts with a brief summary of what kind of person they were??

Dorris,  afteri read Mudds thread I had the same idea.  Great minds think alike.

I once posited the idea of a TG "cemetary" to (I think it was) Rob, but nothing happened, so I guess it was dismissed. I thought maybe a forum with the names, avatars and signature lines of the departed, along with a couple of highlights might be of interest.

We do have a bit of one in development, however, in the "Classics" forum. There are dead people in there already. I will bet good American currency that most if not all of the still breathing people in there already, and those who will be added, will probably die sometime. Seems to be the thing to do, but be sure to save it for last.   :readit:

SBM,

I too miss Dal Lowry, who was truly one of the "good guys" and it would be nice to continue to read about him and others.
