Nock is pointing upwards after impact
«

Hello everybody,
I just started shooting a couple days ago, an I've noticed a problem starting to arise. Whenever I was shooting at my target, the end result would be the arrow dropping into the target with the nock facing upwards toward the sky. Would this be an arrow problem, bow problem, or form problem?
Thanks in advance for any help.

The bow is a PSE Snake Recurve
60" 22# at 28" drawn to 28"
I don't know the arrow specs off the top of my head, but wen I get home I'll be able to post them.
Or could it jut simply be a nocking point problem?

There are a lot of possible causes for this. When you say the arrow is dropping in, do you mean that you are far enough away that the arrow has an arc to its flight? If you are noticing the arrow seeming to porpoise while in flight it is probably nocking point. there are many on here with more knowledge that I am sure will chime in and help.

I'd start by adjusting nocking point as well. try lowering it a bit and seeing how it goes.

The target grain itself could be influencing final arrow angle in the "butt". You could be shooting a target that isn't as high as your bow arm. You could be shooting far enough that the arrow is on a downward trajectory. And yes, the arrow could be porpoising.
A simple paper-tune at 8 feet would be far more telling. I wouldn't pay a bit of attention to the target impact.
You can search here or google "papertune archery" and find a simple instructions for this.

Okay ill play around with the nocking point and check out the paper tune as well, thank you all very much and I'll keep you updated on the problem. I don't, however, think it's because of a downward trajectory, I wasn't very far from the target.

I would guess you have a very stiff shaft basing in your 22# weight. Check your arrow specs.
