Ground hunting.  I love the view from  stand.  But i can be mobile.  Better shot angle, i can blend in better and alot easier to set up.  I have many trseestands.  But last 7 years ground huntig has appealed to me

I hunt absolutely everything from the ground... except whitetail deer.

I have to travel to hunt them so I probably don't hunt them as much as you guys, but my ratio for ground to tree stand for whitetails is probably about 50/50 (for now).

Ground this year. For me it depends what area is open that day on post so tree stands are tough to leave up. I have a climber but no matter how hard I try its always a pain to sneak in and set it up and climb without making a racket. I've made up a ghillie for this year im excited to try out. I've taken a few on the ground with a gun at relatively close range, so I like my odds. I plan to tuck under some pines or brush with my ghillie and stool and just sit still. Never gets to cold here so that won't be a problem. Besides theres some spots that I've wanted to try but have crappy trees in them. I may fail, but it wont be for lack of effort! Haha

I love ground hunting. Even when I had treestands I still hunted 90% of the time on the ground.
Lot warmer when it's cold. lol
Nothing wrong with treestands but down here they're really not much of an advantage, the deer look up a lot.

i hunt with ghillie also, ive been within 10 ft of two tom turkeys.. have had a squirrel try and run ump my leg settin on my stool next to a tree and have been within 20 feet many times of whitetail deer and within 4 ft twice... aint no more rush then that!! had to hold breath because i was afraid they would smell it!!..

I would say ground blind but now that ticks are running more and more rampant I opt for the trees and prefer a climber over a chain on,,, BUT I find myself hunting out of the chain ons more than the climbers in the mornings so I don't make too much noise "going up"

I think I'm 40% deer harvested from the ground,, way better shot angle and honestly they can be as nervous as anything the thrill ride is you must let them get past you and once they are looking ahead the shot is yours and you MUST have the quietest clothes you can afford or ground hunting won't work.

Both. I love the view from the treestands, but like others would prefer to shoot them from the ground. Ghillis are interesting whether in the tree or on the ground.
