Attracting deer with food, flavors,scents

Dont want to debate baiting. I have no issue with it when legal, but thats not what this is about.
Im talking about conditioning a deer to an area by placing pre season foods, scents and flavors such as apple juice.
Vanilla?
Where I hunt it is almost impossible to pattern deer. Natural browse and they bed where they can.
so I was just wondering if everyone uses this tactic.
Again, not debating baiting here or ethics.
Just curious.

My uncle told us once to never use vanilla... Said he tried it ones in the 70's and got treed by coyotes. I've been hunting now for 18 seasons and coyotes have always went the other way when the saw me
. Either way I always tell folks this story when they talk of using vanilla because I've never seen it on Watkins warning label

Potato chips, pop corn and carmel corn they love that crap. Found that out while baiting for bear.

Get you a big Maduro cigar and emjoy it while you sit in your stand with bow ready to use. Don't tell anybody else or the prices will go up again.

Peanut butter... Screw the lid off nail/screw the lid to a tree 4-5' off the ground them screw it back on and cut the bottom off. They will small it from aways off you can get them right where you want them

Corn is pretty much the best I've found. Sweet feed like oats mixed with molasses is also good but you have to keep it dry.

simple bird feeder,,,, that's right the song birds will sing to the deer and lure them right in to join in the feast..
2nd peanut butter especially the cap screwed to the tree someone mentioned above.
3rd cheap Walmart brand pancake syrup,, drizzle this stuff all over a rotted stump within your bow range about 1 week before the season starts and be ready for an interesting opening day.
I don't hunt in bear country so not sure about these bringing in bears instead of deer.

yes it would and here the law clearly states you cannot attract deer by the use of food, some states allow it on private property I believe especially the bird feeder trick,, so I recommend everyone check the laws.
me personally don't need to bait to bring my deer in I just scout and put my stands where they need to be and sit absolutely still, its urban hunting here though not big woods hunting where the deer have a lot bigger playing field.
