Found my first scrape of the season! (Picks)
« on: August 28, 2014, 04:58:00 PM »
Sure can tell the season is changing I was picking up apples in the orchard this morning and almost stepped right in a scrape.

Nice licking branch

Love it, and right by the road. Lol! I will hang a trail cam on it and see what is so excited he's making scrapes already pretty crazy!

I have been getting picks of bucks using licking branches more and more for about the last three weeks on old main scrapes but they don't touch the scrapes.  We're not adding a thing to them they do all this on there own and are near mineral licks we have been using for years.

I checked 5 cams today and no signs of shedding yet and all racks look nice and dark still.

I did see my first cut cornfield today to a big one not silage either it was ready last week it looked like.

Yep, were getting close get those broadheads sharp!!!

With that boys history I would hate to be on his wish list. Glad to see your getting out.

See what I can do about bringing the rack over to show you Kenny I hope.    :bigsmyl:

Lol Brett! Tress has already named him "Lefty" he's got a new baby so he won't have as much time to hunt him. I'm doing my best to pattern him out for us though and this guy that just showed up last cam check.

This is the buck I really like but he's off in the corn right now and not showing much.

I put a cam up tonight on that apple tree we shall see what's making such early scrapes. There's several there this one looks the busiest still think its crazy.    :dunno:      :D

Checked the cam and had 163 picks overnight, A couple forkies and spikes bunch of does and this nice young 9pt that I think is the culprit.

He has gone hard horned so that explains a lot, I have picks of him on one of our other spots almost a mile away just a week ago.

I left the cam up because there's some really good bucks in that area too might get there picture yet.
