Stumping-----a lesson learned
« on: August 30, 2014, 12:26:00 PM »
Met Tim [3 feathers] today to do a quiver trade. In the process we said let's stump shoot for just a hour because we both had other stuff to do. Well you cannot stump shoot for a hour   :readit:   .....2 hours later I looked at my watch and told Tim it was time to go. What a good time, shots well taken, good conversation and nice weather. Tim's Hill is one of the best I have ever seen. Great time.........

Sounds like a great time!  Usually once I start, I can't stop until my fingers tell me they're done!
For we did not follow cleverly contrived myths when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ; instead, we were eyewitnesses of His majesty.

Missed my "home by ----" time yesterday and compounded (pardon my French) the error by leaving my phone back at my car. Made it back home today from another outing with six minutes to spare, but it was a near thing again.    :archer2:

Pretty sure that heartbeats used while stumping don't count against your total. Or shouldn't, in any event.

That's why I hate when my wife asks when I will be home. It is always a few hours later than I tell her.    :goldtooth:

No better way to lose yourself
The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.

Good medicine for mind, body, and spirit. I've been fortunate to wander our woods with my bow an hour or two most days for the last few months.
It feels like an important part of my life these days. Got out some all through last winter; may not be out for as long, and the days are so short, but I hope to be out for at least a few roves right through.
