Michigan Bobcat caught on trail cam (video)
« on: September 01, 2014, 11:49:00 AM »
Caught this cat on trail camera 8/4 same day I set the camera trap. I made a mock scrape under a wild apple tree it was amazing how many animals stopped to check it out. No big bucks yet though, I'm still on the hunt!

That looks like a sizeable cat. In the video, his spots don't show up, making him look like a solid tan color. Do you have a season on bobcats?

Season is Jan 1-11, they do change color a bit and are more brown in summer months, I need to get my traps dyed, thanks for reminding me.

Saw one near Traverse City, MI in the fall maybe 9 years ago.  Spots visible.  Coworker used phone to video a Bobcat about 2 weeks ago here in Chesapeake, VA.  It was walking across a parking lot in an industrial park.  Tan in color.  Looks like he has not posted the vid. on Youtube.  I'll try to touch base w/ him on that.  Cool animals.
