LOL, sometimes we get too good at sharpening.  Recently I was sharpening a bunch of knives.  On occasion I'd shave a bit of hair off my upper arm, until I realized that I had also shaved a microscopic layer of skin off at the same time.  Yes, ideally we'd learn over time............I'm 65 and it hasn't happened yet.
Yah...my wife is jealous of my arms.  Not a bit of hair left on them!

In thus case at least it wasnt a heart or lung shot. Lol

Ouch!  As soon as I saw a pic from inside the house I knew what you did. (Been there myself).

At least I know I'm in good company.  Problem with those "ones that don't hurt" is they won't stop bleeding and heal very slowly.  Pain is a good thing.

Heal quick.

Bummer! Glad you were not hurt seriously. Have you tried pouring black pepper into cuts like that? It helps. No, it does not sting, but it helps clot the blood. Of course, if it is a big cut, you need to go to the ER. Look at the upside, you can practice blood trailing without having to leave the house.

Careful Dude....those things are sharp     :D

Other than the leaky finger, how've ya been Eric. Missed seeing you guys at the GLLI.

We have a bleeder! Kidding aside I hope you heal up quickly.

Even two days later I recommend putting some super glue on it.  It can stop the bleeding when the cut is fresh and keep you from re-opening it later.  Cuts from sharp blades really do heal faster. - John

I've been good Eric.  Had a wedding I had to go to so I missed the GLLI.  Been doing good and busy for a teacher in the summer.  I'm excited to see if these antler restrictions will have us seeing some better bucks up here.  I hope you get some time in the woods!

I might try the super glue on this cut.  That will keep it shut and prevent oozing....

I had to cancel the GLLi plans at the last minute, my Ma had bad spell and was in the hospital so I hung around there.

Got a lot of work scheduled...just hope it dont turn into a chinese fire drill like it can in the fall.

Keep that finger outa...'er dont get it infected.    :D

Good luck in the woods Bud!

Eric
