Can't Stand it Anymore

You guys are killing me!!! Our season doesn't open for whitetail until October 1st. All I can do is read your stories... Keep them coming, I've about got all my firewood in so I won't have any reason to stay home and work when I could be hunting!

Hopefully I will have a story for you tomorrow, season openes and I will be out. It's also the early muzzleloader season so I have to wear orange but I don't care, I've been waiting to long. The high is suppose to be 66 and rain in the morning so I'll be out in the afternoon!!!! I feel for ya, it will be here soon, hang in there!!!

Here in North West Florida (Zone D) the season does not open until Oct 25.  But we get to hunt until Mar 1.

October 1 for our area, and bucks only until the 16th.

Our annual squirrel hunt is on for Oct 4th.  We always have a good weekend then.

I could go to another part of the state on the Sept. 20th but it's still pretty hot out there and we are in a "preparation mode" at our lease.  Set up a new skinning rack this weekend and a new storage shed should be delivered within a couple of weeks.  Hope to pour a slab at the skinning rack next weekend.  We have a about 1/2 of the firewood we need for a season.  The cameras are out and we having having fun preparing.
