I was walking to my spot today and walked right up on two hogs.  Unfortunately I was distracted my the swarm of mosquitoes in my face and they saw me first.  I got too excited and missed twice but hopefully the first time jitters are outta the way.  My heart rate is still jacked but I'm sitting now so hopefully something strolls past.

Poor Todd!  I got the initial frustrated text LOL.  No worries brother now its only a matter of time.  Wish I coulda been out there today too.  I look forward to hunting Aucilla with ya again soon.  Keep those broadheads sharp!

That is probably the biggest reason we miss.  It is difficult to do when we are excited, but so important.

Thanks guys and thats exactly what happened.....i didnt pick a spot.  Didnt see anything else but did spook something on the way out but too dark to tell. Cant wait to get out there again.  Oh and Ill def have a fresh thermacell pad as well.

I'd take a "miss" over no shot or not being in the woods everyday! Even during deer season I won't (can't!) pass up a shot at a pig. Late January to mid-March is our peak here, so after deer season is done I'll be right back out there chasin' pork. Good luck!
