Would do it again.
« on: October 01, 2014, 10:08:00 PM »
Had a doe walk out at 12yrds.debating taking the shot(opening day)when a huge buck stepped out he walked to the left which left me no shot. They were feeding about 30 yrds out behind cover as I waited and hoped they would step back my way a very nice doe stepped out(12yrds)stood eating for about 15sec. then another followed her and also stopped right in front of me,shoot at an almost sure thing or wait for another day.
I will be back this weekend and hope he will be to.

good job.  We all have our goals and our needs regarding this endeavor.  Only you can decide what is right for yo at that moment.  It is sometimes a tough call, end it the very first day because a nice animal came in ?  Or let it walk so you can enjoy these things again and again, knowing you may not have a similar chance.

Sounds like your scouting was effective.
