extinguisher grunt call

I watched the video on this and it looks pretty good. Has anyone tried this one out? What do you think of it?

A grunt call is a grunt call-this one sounds just like all the others Only advantage is that with one call you can make buck, doe and fawn calls with little movement

I personally found it to be very low volume....didnt like it.  I bought one for each of my boys and they like it because of ease of operation- however both of theirs has fallen apart and now they dont sound as original.  I would not purchase another.  Still like my old true talker!

My best grunt call was an old Primos, small tube the size of your thumb made probably 8-10 yrs. ago and lost her in a field in Pike Co. Ill.while dragging a buck out. Never found another one to replace it. Now use a Primos Buck Roar...not like the old one though.

Get one from sponsor Roy Mackey of Lone Star Game Calls. They're not your run of the mill call. They're more like a fine Silvertip or Griffin bow, heirloom quality with a realistic sound to boot. Made from exotic and domestic woods with an extra predator squealer built right in.

Ive had some great mass produced calls that called in bucks for me but none sounded more true than my Lone Star. Cant wait to put it to use in the coming weeks.

I use the extinguishers and I love mine more than several fine wood custom grunts I had made.

with mine though I just found that perfect sweet spot grunt sound, a younger buck nose to the ground muffled sounding tone,,, works perfect for our deer here last 7 I taken where all bucks and I use that call religously,,, But not like the hunters on TV I just do a single very short light sounding grunt every 20-30 minutes while I'm in the stand, a social grunt you could say which brings mostly mid sized spike to 6 point bucks in for me very casually it just lets em know theres others around and its safe over there.

the one thing I always heard bad about the extinguisher was they come apart accidently and then you lose the O-ring because it pops right off once they come apart,, its VERY TRUE it will happen sooner or later,, but based on how I see the deer react in my woods I found that perfect sweet spot in this call then I took camo hockey tape and covered the whole call so it can't adjust anymore,, its stiff enough where I keep it right in my lacross or muck boot.

as far as other grunts which work for different  people,,,,,,, judging them during the rut period we all know that any grunt call no matter how awful or sweet it sounds, snoring, even nose grunting (cuping your nose and making pig sounds use by many selfbow folks) ALL bring Bucks running during the rut.. BUT when you consistantly bring in non rutting deer during non rut periods is what makes a special call,, my call may not be fully there yet but man am I impressed with that one tone I locked it on to.

seriously if anyone has one they don't use even if its missing the O-ring Please PM me I'm looking for more of these ASAP.

I bought one last year and the only way I use it is with the Doe or Fawn Bleat.  Don't like the sound of the buck grunt at all.  Sounds too fake to me and the tone is too high for a real buck.

JMHO.

Thanks for the replies. I've been looking at one of these or the tru talker or the buck roar. I've been looking for video's of each so that I can see which one sounds the best.

I've got one and I like it.  Only thing is great big shooter bucks don't come flying out of the woods every time I blow on it,   :dunno:   like they do in the TV shows.

Longbow58 that's the same primos grunt tube i use and its been my favorite since i got it. I don't know what it is about that thing but deer flat out respond to it!! Don't know what i'd do if i lost mine. I love it teamed with a primos estrous can and real antlers tickled together during pre rut and rut.

Yea I hear what your saying Westkyhunter it's just a flat out killer! I looked at the Primos website and saw a MTA pack and the call that comes with it looks similar but I have to run to Cabela's to see it. Never had another like her!If it is it I'm buying several.

X2 - this call is my absolute favorite for both sound and ease of switching between fawn, doe and buck sounds.  it replaced all my other calls

Take a look at the "pocket Grunt call from Pocket Calls-- sounds like the old Primos call, small and pretty inexpensive too.
