Mounting Zwickeys on Adapter

I really like the Zwickey Deltas and they work great on deer. I epoxy the heads on long screw-in adapters and a true them up but they don't stay put. Just taking them in and out of the quiver has caused them not to spin straight. Any suggestions on how to fix this problem?

I mount my Magnus Classics and Zwickey Eskimos useing both long and short adapters with just hot melt and have never had any issues.....I put hot melt on the adapter, heat the head, push it down and true it up.....fly very true....

I quit using epoxy for that purpose a long time ago because of the same results. I have successfully used epoxy on Ribteks and Elburg's heads, but I think the ferrule type has something to do with it.
I've had better luck on Zwickeys using a good amber hot melt after degreasing both adapter and ferrule.

I use hotmelt on steel adapters and Deltas, if you don't hold em for a bit, the trapped air in the head will push the broadhead back off a little. This makes them not spin right usually, wonder if you have some of the same going on.
Can't imagine the glue letting loose after it dries....

I am using carbon shafts. I wasn't sure that hot melt was an option. The epoxy method isn't work for me so I'll give the amber hot melt a try. How are you guys mounting the head on the adapter without damaging the arrow shaft?

I put the broadhead on the adapter first when things cool down then onto the shaft. I hold on the adapter and head with small vice grips I keep in my kit....

If the heads are not mounted on the arrow shaft that they will be used on, are you having any luck with them spinning straight? I know that hot melt can be heated a little so that the head can be moved a bit. I have not done this so I don't know if this would harm the carbon shaft.

I use hot melt for my inserts as well. After the insert is installed and cooled down, I screw the adaptor into it. Then I put a little hot melt on the adaptor, heat the point and adaptor a little and mount the point. Orient it the way i want, and I'm done. That won't get the carbon shaft too hot. Can't be fussing with it though, i.e., reheating the head or adaptor repeatedly. I've never damaged the shaft this way, and I've never had a head change position on the adaptor.

I foot my carbons with aluminum before putting brass inserts in. After they harden, I screw in adapter, apply heated hot melt to adapter and BH ferrule then spin til I'm satisfied. Nothing seems to get too hot or damaged.

If you can't do without overheating, simply use an aluminum shaft for the mounting and then put it onto your carbon.

I ues 5 min epoxy and never had problems make sure that when you push the broadhead on the adapter that all the air is out.

I use carbon arrows...but have an aluminum arrow specifically for setting glue on heads onto threaded inserts.
I use liberal amounts of hot melt, install the broadhead, then while it's still malleable, I spin the arrow on the tip of the broadhead on a cutting board. Using centrifugal force to distribute the glue evenly and take out all of the wobble.

I use epoxy. Also I clean the inside of the broadhead out. Had a few that were either dirty or had minor surface rust inside them.
