Another Stu Miller question

In the bow selection area there is an option for older Bear Grizzly's and current production Grizzly's. What would be the cut off for older current grizzly's. The one I have is from late 70' early 80's, I believe.

There is already a section for string type. Was there a point of design change or material change in the grizzly.
