Well learned from a mistake tonight
« on: November 02, 2014, 08:10:00 PM »
Got out to the woods a little later than I would like and use my Hammock seat for the first time hunting.  Man, I was real comfy and relaxed not being high in a tree. Considering last time I was in my stand I lost the bottom half while climbing.  Thanks to someones post awhile ago on here I wore a harness that day and it payed off and learned from their mistake.

Well it was getting late and I decided to try someones tip about breaking some small twigs and moving some of the loose leaves under me.  As soon as I started doing that the woods started to move and I could have swore it was several 120 lb squirrels running around.  Man they went crazy!  Well one produced a shot that I couldn't pass on and thought for sure I would have him was about 8 yards angled up in a tree.  Next thing I know I watch my arrow fly through the thick Florida brush never to be seen again.  Time for some flu flu's I think.

I had a fun night and felt a little special seeing my buddy brought his 30-06 and laughed when I put my bow in the Jeep.  Told him I was hooked and was dedicated to my trad equipment from now on.
How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?

Sounds like a great day in the woods to me! Keep at it and your friend won't laugh no more.   :D
