Mahaska vs. Kohannah Kurve

Looking to place my first custom bow order and have settled in on a 50's style recurve. I have narrowed my choices down to a Mahaska recurve and Kohannah Kurve. For those who have shot both, what are differences in noise, speed, hand-shock, etc. Any info would be much appreciated!

Killed my first trad deer with a Kurve; still have the bow. Bob makes a great product at an affordable price. His turnaround is also quick.
I like the Kurve because of the slim grip.

Kurve… one of the finest bows I ever owned.

Never shot the Mahaska, but the Kurve is a great shooter.

I haven't owned either but I can tell you that I have been watching for a Kohannah at 45# for awhile now and you don't see them come up often. I do have a Kota that I really like. It is a 50's style and a new one is pretty reasonably priced. Just thought I'd throw that into the mix.

Had a Mahaska and my friend had a Kurve. I shoot a longbow now but if I did recurves again it would be the Kurve.

I had a Kurve but have shot both.....both great bows but I give the nod to the Kohannah!

Sounds like a one sided match-up! I was leaning toward the Kurve due to better wood choices and Fast flight capabilities but just wanted to confirm. Thanks for the help guys!

Best choice: Kurve
Worst choice: Mahaska: the worst bow I have ever owned. should have used it for starting a campfire.

I can honestly say also that the biggest bad surprise I ever had was when I shot a mahaska long bow, it tried to hit me in the head with the top limb.
I was shooting a martin savannah at the time & a fellow 3d shooter wanted to try my bow so I tried his.
