Veteran's Day in the Woods
«

I hoped to spend some time bowhunting in the woods on the family farm yesterday. But I got a call from a friend who wondered if she might cut some firewood there while her sons were home to help. She's a USN veteran, widow of a veteran, and mother of a sailor and of a soon-to-be Marine. Decided to spend my day in the woods working with them as an expression of gratitude for their service. Feeling sore but good today.

A day well spent. Thanks, Goose.

Nothing wrong with that. Sounded like a good time.
