I was hoping someone on here could recommend a good source for wood arrow shafting. I was hoping to purchase a test pack starting at 85-90 spines arrows on up.
I am shooting a 67@28 58" Kanati Longbow, drawn to 28.5, and would like 30" of arrow. I am also shooting 200 grain points and 3 5" fletchings.
I would like to have a finished arrow around 850 grains, likely hardwoods at this mass weight.
The 3 rivers calculator estimates I will need 115 pound spined woods (If I did it correctly) but talking to a few other people, I will likely need a little lighter spined arrow.
I have purchased from Surewood shafts in the past and have been impressed, but they do not have as heavy of shafts as I am looking for. Kudos to Surewood, who called me and told me that they did not have as high of quality of shafts as they would like in the mass weight and spine weight I was looking for.
Also tried Allegheny Mountain Arrows, but message said they sold out to Kootenai River Archery, who I have no experience with.
I would appreciate any recommendations,
Thanks
