Ron,

Thanks for that update.  As in so many things, it appears that each area of interest re-invents English word use.

Sure seems like the majority of posters interpret the "cross-draw" as being horizontal.

get you kicked out of a Cowboy Action shoot! LOL

Yup... personal preference is king--- and if you can't find it, make it yourself.  I did for my Blackhawk Rev...

Just want to be aware of the potential for mis-communication that might occur in dealing with some knife sellers...

Thanks!
The words "Child" and "terminal illness" should never share the same sentence! Those who care-do, others question!

Certainly more options out there than I was aware of.  German Dog sent me a link to Horsewright knives that offer sheaths in horizontal and two in 45 degree angle that look really nice.  Seems the 45 degree carry would be a little more secure than horizontal but I really like the look of the canoe sheath.  Looks like it carries at just a slight angle.
Ron- Will you have those at Kalamazoo?

Ron LaClair

Yes I'll have knives and sheaths at Kalamazoo

JimB, I'm in the same boat.  My knives are inside my pack most of the time.

I made this cross draw sheath for my nephew last year for his birthday. My dad made the knife.

Most cross draw sheaths have wiggle room to carry horizontal or near 45%...certainly with an angled strap on the back side of the sheath.
